About University Granite
Our Story
Chris Hodges and Dennis Fussell Jr. shared a dream of creating a business that would serve their community, enrich lives, and prioritize their love for God and family. In 2017, this dream became a reality with the formation of University Granite by Chris Hodges and Dennis's sister, Gerri Fussell Smith. Both Chris and Gerri are proud graduates of Auburn University.
Dennis spearheaded community outreach efforts, dedicating himself to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Samaritan's Purse, reflecting his commitment to giving back to his cherished community.
Dennis passed away on February 10, 2024. We will always remember him for his wit, kindness, and the immense love he had for his family and friends. His legacy will continue to inspire University Granite now and forever.
